An update to the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 Replacement Draft held in Lahore on January 23rd.

Brad Hodge to replace Moeen Ali in Gladiators Squad

Quetta Gladiators have replaced England all-rounder Moeen Ali with seasoned Australian T20 campaigner Brad Hodge. Moeen Ali withdrew from PSL due to family commitments. Hodge who represented Peshawar Zalmi last season is one of the most experienced T20 players in the world.

The 270 T20 veteran has plied his trade in some of the leading franchise competitions in the instant format; Hodge is undoubtedly a welcome addition to the Gladiators’ dressing room.

Samit Patel partial replacement for Tamim Iqbal

England’s all-rounder Samit Patel will replace Peshawar Zalmi’s Tamim Iqbal after the Bangladeshi icon departures for the international commitments later during the league.

Patel will be drafted into the Zalmi squad after Iqbal’s departure if the Peshawar outfit makes it to the qualifiers that will be played at the end of the round robin leg of the tournament from February 28.
