Second match of the Pakistan Super League 2017 was between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators. Brendon McCullum, the captain of Qalandars won the toss and decided to bowl first.

While batting first, Quetta didn’t started off well. They lost their first wickets in the 3rd over and managed just 23 runs in first 5 overs. Rillee Rossouw on his debut tried to rescue Quetta as he scored 60 off 47 deliveries and top scored for his side. Gladiators managed 136 in their 20 overs. Sunil Narine returned with the excellent figures of 4-0-16-2 for Lahore.

While chasing, Lahore Qalandars started off very well, by managing 34 runs off first 3 overs with the loss of just one wicket, but they couldn’t capitalize. Quetta came back and managed to knock off the middle order of Qalandars in quick succession. After 13 overs, Lahore was 6 down for 82 runs.

Lahore Qalandars tried to comeback on the back of Grant Elliott’s 26 and Suni Narine’s 26 runs, but those weren’t enough as Qalandars were all out for 128.


Quetta Gladiators won by 8 runs.
