Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bowl first.
While batting first, Karachi Kings started off poorly, by losing 2 wickets in first 6 overs and scoring just 37 runs. After a shaky start, Kumar Sangakkara tried rescuing them by scoring 25 off 22 deliveries, and he after he got out, Babar Azam did his best to steady the ship. Soon after Azam scored his fifty off 42 balls, he got out.
In the end, Karachi Kings managed a good total of 159. From Quetta side, Mills returned great figures of 4-0-21-2 and Perera took 3 wickets for 34 runs in his 4 overs.
While chasing, Quetta Gladiators had a rough start. They lost their three wickets on 30 inside first five overs, will all the top 3 batsmen failing to score. But after that, Rillee Rossouw started from where he left off in the last game and scored an excellent fifty, along-with Sarfaraz Ahmed, the captain of Quetta. Both scored unbeaten 76 & 56 respectively.
