Pakistan’s dynamic teen leg-spinner, Shadab Khan, who made the headlines during the Pakistan Super League and in his international T20 debut for Pakistan, will play in Australia’s Big Bash League with Brisbane Heat this year.
Shadab earned player of the match in his first two T20 Internationals for Pakistan against the West Indies, when he claimed 3 for 7 and 4 for 14.
“He is one of the most dynamic young spinners in the game and will fit nicely into the style of play that we want to employ this summer,” Heat coach Dan Vettori said.
Khan will play for Heat under the captaincy of Brendon McCullum, with whom he is currently playing in the Caribbean Premier League for Trinbago Knight Riders. Khan is currently the joint highest wicket taker for TKR with 10 wickets in just 6 matches.
The BBL season starts on December 20.
